Hanukah in the shape of a tank
An exhibition of Judaica made from silver, called ‘Chains of Silver’, has opened at the Harry OppenheimerDiamond Museum in Ramat Gan. The exhibition includes items of Judaica hand-made by artists Mauriciu Samuel and Itzhak Luvaton, continuing the work of generations of Jewish metallurgists. The exhibition features 75 items from 925 Sterling Silver.
Mauriciu Samuel is a third-generation metallurgist and Judaica artisan. His work references traditional themes alongside techniques common to silver metallurgists for generations. He embeds within his work passages from the Jewish scriptures in the details. Samuel's works can be found in synagogues, museums of note and some of the great collections of Judaica throughout the world.

Itzhak Luvaton is a Judaica artisan who combines ancient and traditional Jewish symbols with modern-day designs in his work. Luvaton fuses silver and other materials such as exotic woods, gold and aluminum.
