The diamonds, which were contributed by 30 diamond companies, are set in 18 karat yellow, white or rose gold, and one of the pieces also uses wood. Shmuel Schnitzer, Chairman of the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum, began the festivities at the opening of the “All About Diamonds’ exhibition, before honored guests including South Africa's Ambassador to Israel, Ismail Coovadia and his wife, Chief Executive Officer of the Diamond Trading Company Ms. Varda Shine, and the leaders of the Israeli diamond industry.
