The Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM) and the Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC) have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen jewelry supply chains, IDEX Online reports.
The aim of the two organizations is to promote responsible precious metals supply chains by achieving several goals: an improvement in social, environmental and labor practices, good governance and the implementation of ecosystem restoration practices in artisanal and small-scale mining; to enhance relationships between large-scale and artisanal mining and to increase market access for precious metals from responsible artisanal and small-scale mining.
