DiamondCorp has announced that underground diamond mining at its Lace resource has resumed, following a South African Department of Minerals Resources (DMR) investigation, IDEX Online reports.
In mid-July, the South African development and exploration company announced that it has temporarily suspended mining operations at Lace following a (DMR) investigation into an injury in the mine.
The company said that the incident occurred when explosive misfires were being made safe and resulted in a miner’s assistant suffering contusions and cracked ribs, for which he was hospitalized and put under observation.
