South African miner Diamcor Mining sold 8,274.47 carats of diamonds in the second quarter ended September 30, Mining Weekly reports. Two tenders were held during the quarter, raising proceeds of $1.17-million or $141.03 per carat.
The sales included diamonds recovered from the Krone-Endora at Venetia project up to August 16. Rough diamonds recovered from August 16 to September 30, will be recorded as rough diamond inventory on-hand for the second fiscal quarter, Diamcor said on Monday.
The miner has yet to declare commercial production at Krone-Endora.
