EX-ROCKWELL DIAMONDS CEO JAMES CAMPBELL APPOINTED MD OF BOTSWANA DIAMONDS

James Campbell, who headed Rockwell Diamonds, has been appointed Managing Director of Botswana Diamonds, Gem Konnect reports. He will work closely with Russian miner Alrosa on the their joint venture Orapa and Gope licences.

 

Campbell has over 30 years’ experience of working with exploration, development and production companies, including 20 years with De Beers, where he rose to be General Manager for advanced exploration and resource delivery.

 

He also worked with the Botswana Diamonds directors at African Diamonds, where he was key to the discovery and development of the Karowe mine, known for its large, high-quality diamonds. He continued as business VP after African Diamonds was acquired by Lucara Diamonds.
