A collection of diamond jewelry owned by best-selling author Jackie Collins will be auctioned at the “Jackie Collins: A Life in Chapters” sale at Bonhams Los Angeles in May, Jewellery Focus reports.
The collection features a 6.04-carat diamond and platinum ring estimated at $100,000-$150,000, an Art Deco diamond, emerald, stone and platinum necklace estimated at $40,000-$50,000; signed pieces by Cartier and Nardi among others. The jewelry is part of an estate of 1,000 lots estimated at $3 million, owed by the late Collins.
Collins published her first novel, “The World is Full of Married Men”, in 1968. The book was a bestseller and marked the start of a hugely successful writing career spanning 47 years. Collins wrote 32 books which “together sold more than 500 million copies in 40 countries worldwide”, according to the piece.
