UK Bans Export of Queen Victoria’s Sapphire and Diamond Coronet

UK’s Culture Minister Matt Hancock has placed a temporary ban on the export of Queen Victoria’s sapphire and diamond coronet so it can’t be sold abroad. The coronet belonged to Queen Victoria (who reigned from 1837 to 1901) and is estimated at $6.6 million in addition to $1.3 million of value-added tax
