Belgium’s polished diamond exports to Israel in the first nine months of 2015 reached 330,337.81 carats worth US$966,986,011, marking a decrease of 8.33 percent in terms of carats from the first nine months of 2014 and a 16.23 percent decrease in terms of currency from January – September 2014.  

India’s Diamond Imports and Exports Continue to Decline

India’s rough diamond imports in the April – August 2015 period were 50,845,000 carats of diamonds worth over US$5.9 million, marking a decrease in terms of carats and in dollar value from imports of 62,037,000 carats of diamonds worth US$7,914.01 million in the April – August 2014 period, according to the latest statistics released by India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

Belgium’s polished diamond exports to Israel in the first eight months of 2015 reached 292,440.55 carats worth US$883,322,811, marking a decrease of 10.77 percent in terms of carats from the first eight months of 2014 and a 16.76 percent decrease in terms of currency from January – August 2014.

Belgium Polished Diamonds Imports Worth US$600 Billion in Jan-July 2015

Belgium’s polished diamond imports from Israel reached 264,884.09 carats worth US$819,472,070 in January to July 2015. This represented a 1.58 percent increase in terms of carats and a 12.55 percent decrease in monetary terms from the comparable period of 2014.

India’s rough diamond imports in terms of carats were 22,274,000 carats of diamonds worth US$2,693.44 million in the April – May 2015 period, marking a decrease in terms of carats and in monetary value from imports of 25,491,000 carats of diamonds worth US$3,528.30 million in April – May 2014, according to statistics released by India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).
