World diamond statistics

India’s Rough Imports Up in Value

India’s rough diamond imports in terms of carats were 99,973,000 carats of diamonds worth US$11,877.66 million in the April-November 2014 period, marking a decrease in terms of carats and an increase in monetary value from imports of 109,027,000 carats of diamonds worth US$10,945.71 million in the April-November 2013 period, according to statistics released by India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

 

Belgium Polished Diamonds Exports to Israel Dip

Belgium’s polished diamond exports to Israel in the first eleven months of 2014 reached 443,443.50 carats worth US$1,444,029,033, marking a decrease of 4.9 percent in terms of carats from the first eleven months of 2013 and a 10.34 percent increase in terms of currency from January – November 2013.  

India’s Rough Exports Down

India’s rough diamond imports in terms of carats were 83,452,000 carats of diamonds worth US$10,394.68 million in the April-October 2014 period, marking a decrease in terms of carats and an increase in monetary value from imports of 94,239,000 carats of diamonds worth US$9,806.27 million in the April-October 2014 period, according to statistics released by India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).  

Belgium Importing More Polished Diamonds from Israel

Belgium’s polished diamond exports to Israel in the first ten months of 2014 reached 410,638.16 carats worth US$1,334,792,798, marking a decrease of 3.64 percent in terms of carats from the first ten months of 2013 and a 13 percent increase in terms of currency from January – October 2013

India’s rough diamond imports in terms of carats were 74,475,000 carats of diamonds worth US$9,388.89 million in the April-September 2014 period, marking a decrease in terms of carats and an increase in monetary value from imports of 81,477,000 carats of diamonds worth US$8,589.42 million in the April-September 2014 period, according to statistics released by India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).  

Belgium’s Polished Diamond Imports from Israel Top US$1 Billion

Belgium’s polished diamond exports to Israel in the first nine months of 2014 reached 360,346.71 carats worth US$1,154 million, marking a decrease of 2.61 percent in terms of carats from the first nine months of 2013 and a 12 percent increase in terms of currency from January – September 2013.  

India’s Rough Imports Up in Value, Down in Carats

India’s rough diamond imports in terms of carats were 7,415,000 carats of diamonds worth US$864.39 in August 2014, marking a decrease in terms of carats and an increase in monetary value from imports of 9,251,000 carats of diamonds worth US$681.59 million in August 2013, according to statistics released by India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).  

Belgium’s Polished Imports from Israel Approach US$1 Billion Mark

Belgium’s polished diamond imports from Israel topped 291 million carats worth nearly US$1 billion in January to August 2014. This represented a slight increase in terms of carats and an increase of over 22 percent in monetary terms from the first eight months of 2013
