|2015 show in Hong Kong|
Over four thousand exhibitors from dozens of countries are set to participate at the 3rd Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, taking place from 1 to 5 March at the AsiaWorld-Expo, and the 33rd HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, taking place March 3-7 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
This year, the International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show will feature a new rough stones and minerals zone to showcase unpolished and uncut stones and gems, as well as a Tanzanite Foundation pavilion featuring the violet-blue gemstone. The Hall of Fine Diamonds at the show features carat-size loose diamonds and provides a discreet trading ambience.
The Jewellery Show features eight themed zones including the Hall of Fame, which brings together top-tier international brand names, and the Hall of Extraordinary, an elite section exclusively for high-end fine jewelry pieces. Dehres, one of Asia’s top diamond jewelers, will showcase a range of pear-shaped diamond jewelry each valued at over US$1 million in this hall. Other zones include the World of Glamour, which highlights the expertise in jewelry manufacturing of Hong Kong-based exhibitors, and the Antique & Vintage Jewellery Galleria, which showcases the glamour of classic jewelry from bygone times.
“The jewelry industry sees the shows both as important trade and sourcing platforms and an opportunity for exchanging industry intelligence, understanding market trends and networking,” says Lawrence Ma, Chairman of the shows’ organizing committees.
In 2015, the two fairs attracted over 4,360 exhibitors from 52 countries and regions, and welcomed 76,000 visitors from 140 countries and regions, setting a new record.
