Hong-Kong based jeweler Chow Tai Fook will open its first ever branded store in Tokyo, Japan, at one of the tax-free stores operated by Laox, according to Rough & Polished.
Laox is one of Japan’s major wristwatch specialty stores and operates 40 general tax-free stores around Japan. As part of the agreement signed between the two companies in March 13, Laox will “offer a wide range of jewellery products including gem-set jewellery, gold products and platinum & karat gold jewellery”.
Chow Tai Fook Managing Director, Kent Wong, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Laox to provide our customers in Japan. With opportunities arising from 2020 Tokyo Olympics, we see great business potentials in the Japanese market”.
