Forevermark is the De Beers mark of quality which is given to DTC sightholders as part of the “Supplier of Choice” program. This mark of quality symbolizes the De Beers Group’s commitment to the highest professional standards as well as unblemished integrity and binding ethics in the industry.

 

The Forevermark was first introduced in Hong Kong in September 2004 and was later introduced in other countries. It ensures sightholders and customers that the diamonds that are sold are natural and genuine, and that they comply with the highest ethical standards of the industry.

 

The use of this mark ensures that the merchandise meets the De Beers Best Practice Principles. These principles were part of a new strategy introduced by De Beers, and includes three parts: costumer trust, business standards, and commitment. The Best Practice Principles serve as DTC prerequisites for those seeking to obtain sightholder status.
