ISRAEL DIAMOND EXCHANGE PRESIDENT YORAM DVASH STRENGTHENS BONDS WITH HONG KONG

Israel Diamond Exchange President Yoram Dvash held meetings with the leaders of Hong Kong’s diamond and jewelry industries in order to strengthen the relationship and bonds between the two nations during the recent HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamonds, Gems and Pearl Show.

Dvash held a meeting with the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong President Lawrence Ma, Federation CEO Lily Chan, Federation member and CEO of Chow Tai Fook Kenneth Wong and the Israel Diamond Institute’s representative in Hong Kong Noa Prado. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the relationship between the Israeli diamond industry and the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong. “We invited members of the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong to participate in the next International Diamond Week in Israel,” explains Dvash, adding that the IDE wants to bring more Hong Kong diamond buyers to Israel.

During a meeting with the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers Association Chairman Adam Lau, HKJMA CEO Wings Cheung and other representatives from the organization and Noa Prado, Dvash aimed to encourage and strengthen the relationship between the Israeli industry and the Association and future cooperation was discussed.

“We sense that there is the start of a recovery, especially regarding the number of visitors compared to the number of visitors to the show that was held in September. There was great interest from buyers, a positive atmosphere and sales,” said Dvash of the Hong Kong show.
