Luis Alberto Suarez Diaz distinguishes himself on the soccer pitch, now playing forward for his native Uruguay and in the Premier League for Liverpool. In 2009, when he still played for Ajax, he was named the team’s player of the year and made captain, after he scored 35 goals in 33 games, more than anyone else in the league that year. In 2013 Suarez became Uruguay’s top scorer of all time, netting 35 goals, and in 2014, he became the first non-European to win the prestigious PDA Players’ Player of the Year Award.
But despite his impressive accomplishments with his legs, he has brought shame on himself on account of his mouth. First, there are the words that come out of it; he hurled racial abuse at the French-Senegalese left-back for Manchester United, Patrice Evra, who is black. And in three separate incidents on the soccer pitch, Suarez actually bit players of the opposing team; the most recent incident took place during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Perhaps if Suarez wishes to put his personal fortune to good use, he should invest some of the millions he has made on polished diamond grills; that way, opponents will see his fangs coming from far away and take evasive action to avoid being bitten.
