American actress Jessica Chastain will be celebrating her birthday quite soon (March 24, to be exact), and if her history on different red carpets and parties is any indication, expensive diamond jewelry will play a chief part among her accessories.
The beautiful actress gained wide recognition after her 2011 performance in The Help, when she earned an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination. She also received wide critical acclaim for her performance in Oscar winner Zero Dark Thirty. Chastain is a vegan, lives in Manhattan with her dog Chaplin, and is currently in a relationship with Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, an Italian-born executive for French fashion brand Moncler.
Chastain’s love for diamonds is a well-established fact, and the star has shown some brand favorites. For the 2013 screening of Mama, Chastain adorned herself in a $1.3 million cascading diamond necklace by Harry Winston. For the for the Critics’ Choice Awards in the same year, she wore a Harry Winston platinum and diamond bracelet along with emerald cut diamond drop earrings valued at more than $2.5 million.
For the 50th anniversary Cleopatra viewing in Cannes in 2013, the star wore a BVLGARI sapphire-and-diamond sautoir with a 65-carat center stone, originally bought by Richard Burton for Cleopatra’s star Elizabeth Taylor. The piece is a part of the eight-piece collection of BVLGARI jewels that the house bought back from Taylor’s 2011 Christie’s auction, rarely loaned to celebrities. At the Golden Globes in 2014, Chastain again stuck to BVLGARI, this time wearing a double-strand necklace.
