Christie’s Jewels Online, which concluded biddings on September 28, raked in $3,729,348, according to a report in Diamond World.
Bidders from 37 countries participated in the auction with first-time registrants accounting for 47% of bidders.
The top lot of the sale was an exceptional emerald-cut diamond ring of 7.53 carats, which sold for $226,800. A diamond Patek Philippe wristwatch also did well, fetching $88,200, as did a Bulgari diamond necklace of 4.17 carats which realized $88,200. A Cartier diamond necklace sold for $75,600, and a Tiffany & Co., Jean Schlumberger citrine ‘Bird on a Rock’ brooch went for $75,600.
