The Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum in Israel’s diamond district in Ramat Gan has launched a new website, where visitors can find information about permanent exhibitions, special events and activities for the whole family, as well as educational guides, the history of the museum and general and contact information. The new website also features high-quality images of the museum, chosen exhibits and activities. The new website is currently in Hebrew, with an English site expected to be launched soon.
The Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum, located in the heart of the Israeli diamond complex in Ramat Gan, serves as a showcase for the diamond industry in Israel.
The visitor to the museum is taken on an exciting virtual journey. He is guided by experts who illuminate the versatile facets of the diamond – how diamonds are created, different mining systems, stages of cutting and polishing, diamond trade and its conduct, characteristics and usage of diamonds in jewelry and industry.
The museum also touches on the Jewish and Israeli connection to the industry, with an emphasis on the historical connection between diamond trade and Jews in the diaspora, the formation of a global diamond hub in Israel, the unique tech developments that originated in Israel, and how the industry became one of the driving forces in Israeli economy.
The museum is located in the diamond district at Jabotinski 1, Ramat Gan, on the ground floor of the entrance to the Maccabi Building.
