Israel-based lab grown company Lusix announced that it has raised $45 million to expand its LGD production and build a new, bigger plant in the city of Modi’in in Israel, IDEX Online reports.

The facility in Modi’in “will be five times” the size of Lusix’s current facility and will open later in 2022.

Founded in December 2019 by Benny Landa, Lusix said it has secured funding from a “consortium led by Israel-based Ragnar and including More Investment House, Gefen Capital and Maverick Ventures.”
