KARELIAN FINDS DIAMONDS IN EASTERN FINLAND

Finnish-based Karelian Diamond Resources has announced “positive drilling results” from its Riihivaara Kimberlite in the Kuhmo region of Eastern Finland, according to Rough & Polished.

 

Professor Richard Conroy, Chairman of Karelian Diamond Resources, commented: “These results enhance our understanding of the Riihivaara Kimberlite and the potential of this Kimberlite to be diamondiferous and of the overall diamond potential of the Kuhmo region of Finland. As such the results today are a significant step forward for the project, its technical team and generally for the Company […]”.

 

Earlier this year, Canadian-based think-tank, the Fraser Institute, published its annual Investment Attractiveness Index report. The 2017 annual list has put Finland as the top international jurisdiction for mining investment.
