Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction in New York on April 13 will feature an extremely rare diamond that could sell for $4 million to $6 million, IDEX Online reports.
The 8.82-carat Fancy intense purple-pink pear modified brilliant-cut diamond is “set in a platinum ring with two smaller stones.” The Fuchsia Rose diamond is certified by GIA as “VVS1 clarity, potentially Internally Flawless, Type IIa” gem. It is set with a pair of pear brilliant-cut diamonds, both 0.61-cts (F/VVS1 and F/VVS2).
Another notable lot is an 11.63-cts VS1 fancy blue cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut diamond, set in a ring with a pair of shield-shaped diamonds, and estimated at $2.5 million to $3.5 million.
