Born in 1986, Solange Knowles has been known for many years mainly as Beyonce’s kid sister. It isn’t easy to step out of the giant shadow’s Beyonce’s mega-stardom has created, but little by little, Solange is establishing herself as a singer worthy of respect. Both sisters model for their family’s clothing line, House of Der?on and they featured together in a “Got Milk?” campaign ad. In 2008, Knowles was named as ambassador for Giorgio Armani’s younger diffusion line, Armani Jeans.
Solange’s style is eclectic, going for the bling rather than the subtle. At a Gala at the Met in New York in 2014, for instance, she wore chunky gold dangle earrings by Lorraine Schwartz. At the Grammy awards in 2013, she rocked a multi-finger diamond knuckle ring. She also likes gold statement necklaces by Lia Sophia, which she wore at NY’s Fashion Week in 2012.
