You’ve probably seen her everywhere: Lily Cole, the English model and actress whose career jumpstarted after she was discovered strolling in Soho, booked her first British Vogue cover at age 16. Since then, she has modeled for numerous giant brands: Vogue worldwide, Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, Prada and mining and diamond giant De Beers.
In July 2013, Cole turned to the business side of showbiz and launched her jewelry line. The Lily Cole jewelry collection includes pendants, rings and bracelets, and is highly unique: Instead of using diamonds or gems, it features Amazonian wild rubber. Cole visited Brazil to experience wild rubber tapping, and according to an interview she gave Vogue UK, the idea of creating a fashion collection from the raw material soon followed.
