DEMI MOORE: DIAMOND CELEBRITY OF THE WEEK

Demi Moore may have starred with Michael Caine in Flawless, a 2008 thriller about a diamond heist by employees at the fictitious London Diamond Corporation, but in real life the actress scores her diamonds through legitimate channels and even uses them to raise awareness of global issues.

To mark Valentine’s Day 2011, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher launched a diamond jewelry collection in collaboration with Brazilian jeweler Jack Vartanian. The handcuff-shaped pieces are available in white, yellow or rose gold with the customer’s choice of white or black diamonds. Money from the jewelery sales goes to Moore and Kutcher’s DNA Foundation, which raises awareness of global children’s issues like sex slavery.
When they were married in 2005, Kutcher gave Moore what remains one of her favorite pieces of diamond jewelry – a five-carat emerald-cut solitaire ring by designer Neil Lane.

For red carpet events, Demi Moore often opts for Cartier. In May 2011, she attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art Ball wearing $480,000 platinum and diamond earrings; a diamond, onyx, and white gold cocktail ring; and a diamond, onyx, and white gold bracelet, all by Cartier.
Moore wore Cartier platinum and diamond earrings to the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, and a different pair of Cartier diamond earrings to the 13th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards.
