A gold Rolex Daytona which belonged to British rock superstar Eric Clapton is expected to fetch at least $1.6 million at auction, IDEX Online reports. Clapton bought the watch, known as “Crazy Doc,” in 1990 in Italy, then put to auction in 2003.
The Geneva Watch Auction: XV by Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo will be held on May 7-8.
Other highlights of the sale include a Patek Philippe pink gold with a pink dial, estimated at $1.29 million to $2.58million; and a rare stainless steel Patek Philippe that was owned by the late Holocaust survivor and Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal, estimated at $269,000 to $538,000.
