JULIA ROBERTS: DIAMOND CELEBRITY OF THE WEEK

Actress Julia Roberts has worn some spectacular jewelry in her films. The Pretty Woman scene in which Richard Gere presents Roberts’ character, Vivian, with a ruby and diamond necklace (created by French jeweler Fred) is listed on several fan sites as one of the “top jewelry moments” in film.

In 2001, Roberts played Tess in Ocean’s Eleven. Jewelry for the film was provided by Tiffany & Co from its Diamond Lace collection and included an aquamarine and diamond necklace; a six-row round-cut diamond bracelet; diamond drop earrings with a sunburst motif; a Tahitian pearl necklace with a diamond clasp, and a 5.5-carat Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond ring.

Off the screen, Julia Roberts likes to mix it up. In a Lancome cosmetic ad that debuted in 2010, she wore oval diamond earrings by Cathy Waterman, and she also opted for long diamond earrings by Waterman for the 2011 Academy Awards.

In September 2010, the actress was photographed for Elle Magazine wearing a diamond ring by David Yurman.
Last year, Julia Roberts starred in the film Eat, Pray Love. At the premiere, she was seen wearing a vintage bracelet from Bulgari set with diamonds, black onyx, and emeralds. While promoting the movie in Japan, she chose the Bohemian Double Tear Drop earrings by jewelry designer Jamie Wolf, which feature pave diamonds set in 18 karat gold.
