FROM YOUTUBE TO DIAMOND GOLD CHAINS: THE STORY OF JUSTIN BIEBER

Born in 1994, Justin Drew Bieber is the first true pop mega-star to emerge out of YouTube. Bieber’s song covers were discovered on the video platform by a talent manager in 2008. A year after Bieber released his EP, “My World”. In 2010, he released “My World 2.0” – his first full-length studio album, which was certified triple platinum in the US and landed high on the charts in several other countries.

Bieber now holds several Guinness World Records, among them the most streamed album in one week on Spotify, and the first act ever to occupy all top three positions simultaneously on the UK singles charts. He also has a record number of followers on Twitter, has the most watched music channel on YouTube, and has the most subscribers on YouTube for a male artist. In addition, he has been listed four times by Forbes magazine among the “Top ten most powerful celebrities in the world” in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2016.

Bieber’s taste in jewelry is expensive, if not entirely original or diverse. He’s often seen sporting one or two gold chains. When named by Forbes as the richest celebrity under age 30 in 2014, the young Canadian pop star was photographed sneaking out of a restaurant wearing half a dozen golden chains, sparkling with rubies and diamonds.
