ALEX DANIEL – QUALITY SORTED ROUGH DIAMONDS

Alex Daniel Diamonds sells rough and polished diamonds with certificates. The firm specializes in providing rough diamonds according to specific categories, including sizes, colors, clarities and shapes, based on regular sorting. The diamond company purchases rough diamonds from firms all over the world, rather than at the large Sights of De Beers and Alrosa. The sorted rough diamonds are sold by Alex Daniel to factories in India, Israel, Belgium, Japan and elsewhere. The company’s end-consumers are jewelry manufacturers and stores all over the world who enjoy the company’s low prices and high-quality sorts.

Alex Daniel is known for its good quality of sorting. The firm provides rough diamond sorting services according to the needs of the market and its customers, even for small special orders. “The firm is successful because it continues to sort accurately over time. There are no surprises, and our customers know what to expect. We adjust our prices to the prices of the market and easily compete with other companies. We try to adjust our sorts to the needs of the customer as much as possible. Pricing is a vital condition for the success of a deal, especially in difficult market conditions such as these, and despite all of this, we have proven that we can survive in a difficult market facing larger competition,” says owner Alex Daniel.
The company has taken part in international exhibitions for the last ten years, especially those taking place in Hong Kong throughout the year, and the Las Vegas show in the U.S., as well as other events on occasion.

Alex Daniel also sells polished diamonds with certificates. The polished diamonds, which complete the firm’s large range of rough diamonds, come in sizes from 0.30 carats up to 10 carats, round, fancy and square, and are accompanied by gemological certificates from laboratories which are recognized around the world.

The diamonds are chosen from the company’s stock of rough diamonds – the largest and prettiest diamonds are set aside for cutting and polishing.

The company has been in existence for 25 years already. Founder and owner Alex Daniel explains how he came to work with diamonds: “In my youth, I was one of the best surfers in Israel. One day when I returned from the sea, I went to pick something up from the diamond bourse, and I saw a lot of vehicles in the bourse parking lot. They were the nicest cars I had ever seen, and all in one small place. I got curious and wanted to find out what this was all about. After investigating, I decided I wanted to give it a try. I came for an interview – naturally, I didn’t pass up on catching some waves in the morning before the interview! I came to the bourse straight from the sea. I had nowhere to put my motorcycle, and I gave my surfboard to the guard at the entrance, to watch over. I came to the interview wearing flip flops and a bathing suit, and I still got the job. At the same time, I worked on getting my bachelor’s degree and after three years I decided that I wanted to start my own company.”

Ten years ago, Alex Daniel decided to market diamonds over the internet – at that time the practice was in its infancy. He was one of the first in Israel to sell diamonds over a website. To this day, a portion of his sales take place online.

“What motivates the company is integrity, honesty, and standing behind our word. These inspire trust from our customers. We have over a thousand customers, spread around the world, customers that have been with us for years and who have great trust in the company and in the products that they receive. We want to continue producing at the high standard that we set for ourselves, and for our customers to continue to enjoy unique sorts of quality diamonds,” says Alex Daniel.
