The 10th edition of the IIJS Signature trade show has kicked off in Mumbai Monday (Feb 6). According to Gem Konnect, the organiser – the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) – is also celebrating its 50th year of existence in the event.
According to the report, “the show features more than 500 exhibitors and over 1,000 booths, and is expected to attract 15,000 visitors from over 455 cities and towns across India and from more than 55 countries”.
GJEPC Chairman Praveen Shanker Pandya said that this year’s IIJS is “significant” as the industry “looks at growing exports after a particularly challenging 2016”. According to him, the industry was looking at double-digit growth this year.
