Alrosa: Financial Results and Production in 2022 to “Exceed Forecasts”

Sergey Ivanov, CEO of Russian diamond mining giant Alrosa, has announced that the company will “exceed the plan for financial indicators and diamond production by the end of 2022,” Rough & Polished reports.

 

According to Ivanov, “all financial results will exceed the forecasts that we discussed about a year ago. In terms of production, the company will exceed the plan. We are now going somewhere in the range of 35.5 million carats.” Alrosa’s earlier prediction for rough production was 34.3 million.

 

In other Alrosa news, the company’s Chief Geologist Konstantin Garanin said in a forum at Takutia that, following exploration at the Mir and Udachnaya pipes, “the reserves of Udachnaya and Mir pipes amount to 88 million and 62 million carats, respectively.”
