Aisen Nikolaev, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and Sergey Ivanov, CEO of Alrosa, have summed up the results of the financial and economic activities of Alrosa in 2021, saying that the company has “achieved record sales, doubled dividend payments, and increased tax payments,” Rough & Polished reports.
By the end of 2021, the company will have sold almost 46 million carats – “a record volume of rough and polished products.” According to CEO Ivanov, by the end of 2021 Alrosa will have produced approximately 32.5 million carats of diamonds – 8% more than in 2020.
Nikolaev added that in his region, Yakutia, this year’s dividends “exceeded the total amount of dividends paid for eight years from 2009 to 2016.”
