Rio Tinto has selected UK luxury jewellery Boodles to be a “select atelier” – meaning a jeweler masterful enough to create jewellery that features the famous pink diamonds from its Argyle diamond mine, Gem Konnect reports.
Boodles will officially become a “select atelier” in October, when the 2016 Argyle pink diamonds tender is showcased in London. The tender, named the “Chroma Collection”, features 57 pink, two violet and four red diamonds collectively weighing a total of 58.24 carats.
Established in 1798, Boodles is a sixth generation family business that features rare diamonds and heirloom pieces of jewelry.
