Christie’s Hong Kong has introduced the Pink Supreme, a remarkable 15.48-carat Fancy Intense Pink Internally Flawless Type IIa diamond ring, set to be the largest of its kind ever offered at auction, according to a report in Rough & Polished.
The gem’s ‘Fancy Intense’ pink hue is a distinction granted to only a select few pink diamonds by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), and The Pink Supreme’s Type IIa classification places it among the rarest 2% of all gem diamonds. The estimated price for the piece is set between $9,000,000 and $12,000,000. According to a press release, the impressively sized diamond is “a true optical masterpiece.”
Christie’s preview of The Pink Supreme took place from October 4th to 7th in Hong Kong, with the live auction scheduled for November 27th at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
