50907 Diamond Ring Record

India: Company Sets New World Record for Most Diamonds Set in One Ring

H.K. Designs and Hari Krishna Exports – both from India – have created a ring with 50,907 diamonds, therefore setting a new Guinness World Record for “most Diamonds set in one ring.”

This ring is made out of recycled materials – recycled gold in 18kt and diamonds re-purposed from customer returns. According to the company, “the ring has a total of 8 parts which include 4 layers of petals, the shank, 2 diamond discs, and the butterfly.” The final count of diamonds is 50,907, weighing 130.19 carats with a final gold weight of t 460.55 grams. The ring has a retail value of $785,645.

According to a press release quoted by Art of Jewelry, “many design ideas were discussed” until a design inspired by a Sunflower was chosen – “nature’s most vibrant, happy, and strong flower known for its beautiful sunny charm and glow.” The ring has been named Eutierria, which means “becoming one with nature – and shows the connection of humans with nature.”

From idea to crafting, the process took almost nine months to complete, while the computer-aided design (CAD) itself “took almost four months to perfect before the team was satisfied with the output.”
