Israel-based diamond tech company Sarine Technologies has unveiled a “major breakthrough” in partnership with Rubel & Ménasché, a distinguished French jewelry Maison. They have jointly created a new traceability solution for melee diamonds, the tiny but valuable gems commonly found in jewelry settings.
According to Sarine, the solution is based on the precise measurement of diamonds at the rough stage, continuing through the polishing process until they are fully polished. The process, which is based on the same technologies used for larger diamonds in Sarine’s Journey™ traceability paradigm, underwent “the necessary adjustments to scale up for the larger quantities and smaller sizes of the melee diamonds.”
