According to Sarine, small diamonds now represent a “vast segment” of the market. In 2018, Sarine’s Galaxy inclusion scanning systems scanned 120,000 rough stones under 0.15 carats, while in 2021 that figure was 7 million and “nearly a quarter of all stones processed.”

In a press release, Sarine said that the software, Advisor 8.0, incorporates more than 20 new features. David Block, Sarine’s CEO said: “We are delighted to introduce the newest and most advanced ever version of Advisor. It will improve yield, accelerate productivity and enhance the overall value of our industry-leading core midstream offerings.”
