Possibly one of the greatest athletes of all time is tying the knot: Last week (Tuesday), American artistic gymnast Simone Biles took to Instagram to show off photos of the proposal by her long time boyfriend Jonathan Owens, as well as the stunning diamond ring he bought for the occasion. The couple has been dating since 2020.
The 26-year-old football player purchased what seemed to industry experts as an engagement ring with one massive oval cut diamond and a band made of additional 35 diamonds. The ring seems to weigh 8 carats. According to experts, it may be worth about $300,000 or more.
In the post, Owens is shown dropping to one knee in a gazebo in Houston, Texas, before the excited Biles. “The easiest yes,” Biles captioned her post, “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! Let’s get married FIANCÉ.”
