“Despite the Challenges, We’re Seeing Positive Signs,” Says WFDB President

Yoram Dvash, President of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), expressed optimism following the Executive Committee (EXCO) meeting in Milan. “Despite the challenges, we’re seeing positive signs. Rough production is being limited, and polished manufacturing has been reduced by 50-60%, leading to shortages of popular goods. There is hope for a strong holiday season in the U.S.,” he noted in a letter, as reported by Rough & Polished.

The meeting also highlighted the need for better marketing of natural diamonds, particularly in the U.S. “We must convey the timeless message of love and commitment that only natural diamonds represent,” Dvash emphasized.

Additionally, the EXCO decided to launch a WFDB YouTube channel to educate about natural diamonds and strengthen ties with global diamond and jewelry organizations.

The WFDB Presidents’ Meeting in 2025 will take place in the U.S.
