Petra Diamonds has sold 3.45 million carats of rough diamonds in fiscal 2016 – 9% more than the previous year, according to Gem Konnect.
The miner’s revenue totaled $430.9 million, a 1% increase over last year’s $425 million. According to Petra, sales of exceptional diamonds contributed $36.3 million, compared to last year’s revenue of $38.7 million. Overall diamond production increased 16% over the previous year to 3.7 million carats.
Petra said the increase in revenue was due to an increase in volumes sold.
