Israel-based company Ice Stones has recently received the Israeli Green Label from the Standards Institution of Israel for a new method for cleaning diamonds.
Established in 2013, Ice Stones Ltd. specializes in the development of green solutions for diamond and precious metal cleaning. The new system, called Ice Prime, can be used in an office environment and does not require special infrastructure. In addition, during the cleaning process, the stone remains stable and therefor reduces the risk of damage to the stone. According to the company, customers are reporting back better cleaning results.
Ice Stones reports that Ice Prime has been successfully implemented in offices and factories worldwide and has helped to achieve compliance with international standard for environmental and employees’ safety.
The company has also developed a solution for removing laser residue from diamonds, which it says does not require polishing the stone nor causes weight loss.
