IDE President Yoram Dvash with some of the guests

AMBASSADORS’ WIVES FROM DOZENS OF COUNTRIES VISIT THE IDE

Ambassadors’ wives from dozens of countries, including the US, Belgium, Egypt, Germany, Jordan, Singapore and Turkey, visited the Israel Diamond Exchange earlier this week and met with IDE President Yoram Dvash.

The visit began with a guided tour of The Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum, where the guests learned about the diamond production process – from the discovery stage to their setting in jewelry pieces. Then, Avner Sofiov, owner and President of Tzoffey’s Diamonds, talked about the worthwhileness of investing in diamonds and the global diamond market. The guests then continued to a reception at the IDE, attended by IDE President Yoram Dvash and other bourse members.

Dvash welcomed the guests and said: “We’re very happy to see you here. In the 80 years since the bourse was established, we have never entertained such a special group. In my opinion, we should turn this visit into a regular event”.

At the end of the reception, each lady received a gift and the group moved on to a guided tour of the Trading Hall.
