LADY GAGA STARS IN A STYLISH TIFFANY’S SUPER BOWL COMMERCIAL

 

New England’s Tom Brady may have pulled the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history last night, but even he was in danger of being outshined by the star of the Super Bowl halftime show – the always original Lady Gaga.
Minutes before she took the stage, during the halftime commercial break, the singer starred in a Tiffany & Co. 60 second spot, marking the famous brand’s return to television after two decades.

 

In the black-and-white ad, Gaga is dripping in statement-making silver jewelry. The ad promotes the brand’s new collection that will launch in the spring, Tiffany HardWear.The Tiffany HardWear collection features necklaces, rings and earrings in sterling silver and 18-karat gold jewelry. It is inspired by a 1971 unisex ball-and-chain bracelet designed by the brand.

 

Tiffany’s elegant commercial aside, this isn’t the first time Gaga makes headlines for her jewelry choices. For Paris Fashion Week 2011, she decided to go all out and have marquise-shaped diamonds implanted in her teeth.

 

But even before she got the bright idea of having rocks ground into her teeth, Lady Gaga managed to find other innovative ways of wearing diamonds. She has attended a New York Giants football game decked out in a diamond-encrusted ball gown and a heavy diamond necklace, which sparkled as she splashed champagne everywhere.

 

In February 2010, Lady Gaga was seen in London wearing an unusual accessory – a life-sized lobster headpiece encrusted with real diamonds. And sometimes, the singer will forego other items of dress in favor of sparkly jewelry – last year she was photographed for the cover of Vanity Fair wearing a diamond necklace by luxury jewelry designer Fred Leighton (and nothing else).
