THAILAND’S JEWELRY TRADE TO BE EXEMPTED FROM TAX SHORTLY

Thailand’s Ministry of Finance is set to exempt the country’s jewelry trade from tax, thus opening a free trade market for gold, jewelry, and accessories, in order to increase the nation’s competitiveness towards being the global center of the gold and jewelry trade, reports Art of Jewellery.

Thailand’s Minister of Finance Apisak Tantivorawong expects this policy to be finalized shortly, and reckons that the exemption will yield higher benefits from the increased income, despite the lower level of tax money, explains Art of Jewellery.
