CHOW TAI FOOK SALES RISE SHARPLY IN Q3 2017

Chow Tai Fook has released its retail sales figures for the quarter ended September 30, showing a rise of 15% year-on-year in mainland China and a rise of 12% in Hong Kong and Macau, Rough & Polished reports.

 

Same-store sales of diamond jewelry went down 1% on the mainland, but the average selling price there “increased to $833 from $782 in the previous quarter”. Additionally, same-store revenue from diamond jewelry rose 7% “after 13 consecutive quarters of decline in Hong Kong and Macau”. Although the volume of sales “grew significantly”, the average price dipped to $1,371.

 

Finally, Chow Tai Fook also reported that sales in the first fiscal quarter to June 30 rose 17% in mainland China and 7% in Hong Kong and Macau.
