Stargems to Embrace Sarine’s Latest AutoScan™ Plus System

Israel-based diamond tech company Sarine Technologies Ltd has announced “growing demand from rough miners and wholesalers, and the initial delivery of the highly efficient and productive rough diamond parcels registration system, Sarine AutoScan™ Plus,” in a press release.

According to Sarine, efficient registration of rough diamond parcels is essential for managing large volumes of diamonds quickly. This registration enables entities and countries to integrate their diamonds into a traceability framework, ensuring verifiable traceability without the necessity of transporting stones to specific, limited local facilities. This is a vital cost-saving element, especially considering the impending G7 restrictions on Russian-sourced diamonds, according to the company. The Sarine AutoScan™ Plus system enables registration at the diamond source or in its proximity and Stargems Group, a respected player in the rough diamond trade for over 40 years, has received the first system.

Sarine’s CEO, David Block, noted: “[…] The AutoScan™ Plus is a game changer, enabling all rough miners and suppliers to register their rough diamonds at the source with very little overhead or change to their existing processes […]”.

Shailesh Javeri, Chairman of Stargems Group, stated: “[…] The pressing necessity, as dictated by G7 policies and ESG developments, is to provide a rough diamond supply registered in a highly reliable traceability program. We are delighted to employ the new Sarine AutoScan™ Plus system and Journey™ traceability paradigm, which together offer unprecedented efficiency and accuracy. Stargems is committed to securing the future and the brand value of natural diamonds.”
