THE SHINING DIAMOND OF SPORT: THE STORY OF HEIDI WATNEY

Born in 1981, Heidi Watney is an American sportscaster, now working as a host and reporter for MLB Network. Past positions include the Boston Red Sox on-field reporter and host of two sports shows on NESN network, a sports talk radio host for ESPN Radio, and coverage of the Los Angeles Galaxy with Time Warner Cable Sportsnet. Since 2013, she has hosted the MLB Network’s show Quick Pitch every weeknight.

On September 2014, Watney signed a partnership with Pandora Jewelry. The partnership, which lasted until April 2015, included event sponsorships, in-store appearances and social media amplification to the jeweler’s social media platforms.

The partnership was signed shortly after Pandora launched an MLB-themed collection, which featured three different charms per team featuring all 30 of the League’s clubs. Watney commented on the partnership: “With an endless amount of charms and opportunities for customization, Pandora jewelry allows women everywhere to tell their stories and support their favorite teams in their own unique ways”.
