Trans Atlantic Gem Sales (TAGS) ‘will hold a rough diamond tender at the Dubai Diamond Exchange worth more than $30 million, according to Gem Konnect. The tender will be held September 20 to 27 during the Dubai Diamond Conference (September 26) and will include rough diamonds from South Africa and Angola.

According to the company, the rough to be tendered “is of high quality and high color and contains a significant number of large single stones and exceptional specials”. The company will tender approximately 20,000 carats of rough from South Africa and 20,000 carats of rough from Angola “across a full range of sizes”.

In December of last year, TAGS sold a total of 97,841 carats for $46.4 million in its Dubai tender. 168 companies attended the auction, which included “high quality and high color material from South Africa and Angola […] as well as several significant special stones”. Average price per carat stood at $474.40.
