Carrera y Carrera was established in the late nineteenth century in Madrid, Spain, and has since gone on to become one of the largest jewelry manufacturers in the world. Starting in 1885, the firm specialized in producing tiny miniatures of beautiful flora and fauna in exquisite detail.
The company now produces rings, pendants, necklaces, earrings, cufflinks and chain, set with polished diamonds, sapphires, rubies, garnets, and other precious gems. In its 128-year history, Carrera y Carrera has catalogued more than eight thousand different designs, some of which remain one-of-a-kind pieces and others remain the exclusive property of the company collection. Recently, the firm has dabbled in jewelry inspired by the bamboo plant.
One of the accolades the Carrera company is most proud of is producing various pieces of jewelry for the Spanish Royal Family and their close friends; it is the only brand to have done so to date.
