CIBJO is an international confederation of professional jewelry trade organizations from many countries worldwide whose purpose is to promote cooperation and to address issues that concern the global jewelry trade.

CIBJO is the most veteran organization of its kind in the jewelry industry. The original entity, which was called BIBOA, was established in 1926 in Paris and it assumed its present form in 1961. The presiding CIBJO president since 2001 is Dr. Gaetano Cavalieri. The organization is headed by a general assembly which meets annually, most often in conjunction with the BaselWorld International Jewelry Exhibition.
