Israel Precious Stones and Diamonds Exchange Ltd

The Israel Precious Stones and Diamonds Exchange Ltd. (IPSDE) is a private company of professionals working in Israel’s precious stones and diamonds industry. The IPSDE was founded in 1976 and since 1980 it is located at the Maccabi Building in Ramat Gan’s diamond complex. Its foundation introduced an innovative and unique concept to Israel’s industry.

 

 

The IPSDE serves as a trading center for its members and foreign buyers, and assumes the representation role of Israeli precious stones and diamonds professionals before the State’s authorities. In addition, IPSDE acts as a governmental communication channel, delivering industry related information such as orders, regulations and laws. It also works to promote the public interest in precious stones and diamonds as a means of increasing trade volume.

The IPSDE is managed by its Board of Directors, led by President Shlomo Eshed (currently serving his third consecutive term). The Company’s administration is managed by the Bourse Secretariat while its daily operation is carried out by the New Member Screening Committee, Disciplinary and Judicial Committee and the Control Board. The President, Directors and Committees’ members are elected on a bi-annually basis by IPSDE’s members at the shareholders’ annual General Assembly.

 

The Israel Precious Stones and Diamonds Exchange Ltd. is a member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) and the Israeli Export and International Cooperation Institute.
